History of HGLU

Constitution of India part-III –fundamental right article 19, right to freedom Provides the right to all citizens of India.

  • Freedom of speech and expression
  • To assemble peacefully and without arms
  • To form associations or unions
  • To move freely throughout territory of India
  • To reside and settle in any part of the territory of India

So under the provisions of article 19 (1-C) the post graduate teachers of Himachal Pradesh united and formed the union namely Himachal Pradesh post graduate teacher union. The constitution of Himachal Pradesh Post Graduate Teacher Union was formed after the first meeting of the union in the month of May 2016 at SD Senior Secondary School Gang Bazar Shimla. Thereafter the executive committee of the union registered the union the under society act 2006 vide registration no 26-DA-01-06-2016. Thereafter the executive committee of the Union visited every district and block of Himachal Pradesh and conducted the elections of Block and District executive committee in a democratic way under the provision of the constitution of Himachal Pradesh Post Graduate Teacher Union and Block Executive committee and district executive committee were formed. In continuation of the above process the first state election was conducted at Govt. Boy Senior Secondary School Hamirpur dated 09-04-2017 under the supervision of Sh. Sanjeev Chopra Headmaster Govt.

Vision of HGLU (S-New) is to impart education in learner friendly environment following guidelines of Govt. in accordance with new education policy. HGLU (S-New) believes that every child has the “Right to Education “ with dignity and equal opportunity, consequently HGLU(S-New) strives for untiring efforts where teachers endeavor to impart excellent schooling experience by providing an environment that is conducive to success. Apart from student centric teaching vision of HGLU (S-New) is to involve parents in teaching – learning process so that parents and give suggestion for more effective execution of teaching – learning process.

To develop students minds as powerful thinkers and problem solvers. To develop deep sense of creativity and inquisitiveness among the students so that they are able to ask what, how and why of every problem. To make students capable of using their curriculum studies in their practical lives.

Our mission is to unfold full potential of each student so that he/she is capable of choosing courses of their interest. Our mission is to create awareness in students regarding protection of environment and to create a peaceful and harmonicons community.

Achievement

Aims and Objective

  • To promote the safe guard social, economic, moral and cultural interest of the members of the union.
  • To protect professional interest of its member.
  • To seek professional growth of it through the media of refresher courses of seminars and electronic media to improvement in the standard of education
  • To provide moral, legal and monetary assistance to its members in respect of matter arising out or incidental to their employment and their relation with union.
  • To develop essential cooperation and understating with other employees and union/association federation for further interest of teacher.
  • To improve quality education in Government and public schools.
  • To work for social and economic deprived children and assist them in their studies.
  • To work for the eradication of bad practices in the society like dowry system, castism, Feticide.
  • To work on the international issue like global warming environmental conservation, plantation and to aware the society and children on these issues.
